Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought called Iran’s Kurdistan province as role model for Islamic unity stressing that as reason why the first regional Islamic unity meeting is held there.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his remarks at the presser held a day ahead of the regional Islamic unity conference to count 36 rounds of Islamic unity conference held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought sending the messages of compassion, convergence and solidarity across the world of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said the regional conference of Islamic unity, as approved by the supreme council at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, meant for utmost involvement of the scholars and Muslim clerics to boost solidarity among Muslims.
The cleric noted that based on the legislation, the first regional Islamic unity conference is held in collaboration with Iraqi Kurdistan and Iran’s Kermanshah, Kurdistan and West Azerbaijan provinces.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari referred to the upcoming Islamic unity conference to be held in mid-October and added the present regional Islamic unity conference is in line with the annual meeting of world Muslim leaders to be held in Tehran and also strengthening the ties between denominations and nations.
“This regional conference is held in Kurdistan province for the first time because Kurdistan has always set a good role model for Islamic unity and coexistence of ethnic groups and religions” said Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari.
According to the top cleric 28 elites from Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan region will deliver speech at the meeting to be held on Wednesday.
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought reiterated importance of the strategy on “unified Islamic nation”.
Senior cleric enumerated the four pillars for materialization of unified Islamic nation the first of which avoiding disunity, terror, conflicts and desecration of Islamic sanctities in the world of Islam.
He said,” Desecration of Islamic sanctities is condemned from all and we, as harbingers of Islamic unity, call all ethnicities to respect for religious sanctities as an Islamic mandate.”
According to the scholar the second pillar for unity of Islamic nation is cooperation between Islamic ethnicities and the third is collaboration in security, politics, wealth and mutual cooperation.
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought counted Islamic lifestyle based on Sharia as the fourth and last pillar necessary to materialize unified Islamic nation.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari made the comments at the press conference held ahead of the first regional Islamic unity conference held in Iran’s western province of Kurdistan attended by Muslim scholars and religious figures from Iran and Iraq on Tuesday.
