The Palestine Information Center has reported Islamic Endowments office of occupied al-Quds stressing that al-Aqsa Mosque will not admit the least change in its Islamic identity despite struggles for Judaization of the holy site, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The Endowments office in its statement said,” Although there have been efforts for Judaization and historical and architectural changes to al-Aqsa Mosque, it has honorably maintained its Islamic identity and will never admit the least changes to its 144,000 square meters.”

The statement continued,” Despite excavation projects near and beneath al-Aqsa walls as well as organized raids by extremist Israeli settlers protected by Tel Aviv forces, this mosque will remain intact.”

Islamic Endowments office has also appreciated the executives, guards and Muslims protecting the holy mosque by all means possible.

It also extended appreciation for the Jordan’s king as well as the Islamic and Christian endowments in the occupied al-Quds.

The statement referred to a heinous arson attack by Australian citizen Denis Michael Rohan who initially set fire to the pulpit on August 21, 1969 to burn the precious Islamic treasures and totally destroying of  the 12th century minbar of al-Aqsa Mosque.

The incident led to establishment of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in September 1969.
