“Changing al-Aqsa identity leads to serious predicaments for entire region”, prayer leader

Grand mufti of al-Aqsa Mosque has condemned changes brought to identity of the holy site in Jerusalem warning that desecration of Islamic sanctities will have predicaments for the entire region.

Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, in his Friday speech, warned of desecration of Islamic sanctities warning that no one is aware what predicaments will follow sacrilegious moves, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Palestinian cleric made the comments in his Friday sermon when 50,000 worshippers reportedly attended the weekly prayer at al-Aqsa Mosque.
 
He said,” Al-Aqsa Mosque is part of religious beliefs for each and every Muslim since it has been the first Qibla (praying direction) for Muslims and a holy site in the world of Islam.”
 
The cleric called on the guards at al-Aqsa Mosque to prevent desecration of the holy site by Israeli forces and Zionist regime.
 
Sheikh Muhammad Hussein added,” No excuse is admitted for not assisting liberation of al-Quds Mosque.”
 
Muslims entered the holy al-Aqsa Mosque since early hours of Friday despite tight security measures imposed by Israeli forces.
