Authorities at Masjid an-Nabawi have announced total lifting of restrictions and health protocols related to the pandemic infection for pilgrims at the holy site.

As the conditions return to normal at the holy mosques and pilgrims for umra (minor Hajj) are admitted without any restrictions, authorities at an-Nabawi Mosque in Medina have totally lifted COVID-related restrictions, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Accordingly, servants at the an-Nabawi Mosque removed all Hygienic signs and labels on health protocols against COVID-19; hence, lifting all restrictions for entrance to the holy site.
This is while wearing mask to an-Nabawi Mosque was mandatory in past years and in a three-month period after reopening of the holy site at peak of the pandemic the health condition of pilgrims was monitored and those suspected of being infected were prevented from all public prayers and pilgrimage.
As the previous restriction are lifted, pilgrims from different countries can enter an-Nabawi Mosque without masks and are not required to observe social distancing.
