Huj. Shahriari pays tribute to Gen. Soleimani in Iraq

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought paid tribute to Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani at place the top Iranian counter-terrorism commander was martyred in US attack on Sunday.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari in part of his trip to Iraq commemorated the top anti-terror commander of IRGC Quds Force, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and deputy of Iraq’s Hashd al-Sha’sbi, Abu Mahdi Muhandis at the place where the two commanders have been targeted, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Senior Iranian cleric headed a delegation of cultural figures and deputies at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in this trip.
 
The Iranian delegation met with a number of Iraqi religious and political figures discussing the latest regional issues and different aspects of regional Islamic unity conference to be hosted in Iraq.
 
The convoy of Iran’s Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Muhandis was targeted by US forces near Baghdad International Airport in an operation launched in early January 2020.
