Iran reacts to S. Korean president's interfering remarks

The spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the interfering remarks of the South Korean President regarding the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United Arab Emirates on Monday evening.

He claimed: "The enemy of the UAE is Iran and our enemy is North Kore; We are in a similar situation with the UAE."

The President of South Korea arrived in Abu Dhabi on Saturday as part of a several-day official visit.
Regarding the remarks of the South Korean president in the UAE, Nasser Kanaani said: "The remarks quoted from this Korean official indicate a lack of complete knowledge of the historical and friendly relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the countries of the Persian Gulf, including the United Arab Emirates."
He emphasized: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is seriously pursuing the recent positions of South Korea, especially the remarks of its president regarding the relations between Iran and the UAE, which lack the least diplomatic validity, and Iran would look forward to the explanation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea in this regard."
