Pilgrims should submit biometric visa applications for Hajj 2023
The Ministry of Religious Affairs of Bangladesh announced pilgrims are required to submit biometric visa applications in order to perform Hajj 2023.

It added that the Saudi government has made this mandatory for all pilgrims.
The ministry is taking the necessary action in this regard, according to a ministry circular.
Hajj pilgrims were requested to refrain from turning in their passports to the Ashkona Hajj office. People who have already submitted their passports were requested to take them back.
Hajj pilgrims will be given updated information from time to time, the circular said.
Hajj is a pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca that every able-bodied and financially able Muslim is obliged to undertake at least once during their lifetime.
For the first time since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, over 2 million pilgrims from around the world will take part in Hajj this year.
