“Quds Day shattered plots to divide Islamic ummah”

Head of Lebanon's Association of Muslim Scholars condemned efforts to divide the Islamic nation and hailed the International Quds Day for foiling such plots.

Sheikh Qazi Hunaina, in his speech at the online meeting of scholars on al-Quds hailed the late founder of Islamic Revolution for naming the last Friday of Ramadan as International Quds Day and an occasion to mark the issue of Palestine, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” Since the victory of Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA) stressed the issue of Palestine and al-Quds as an issue for the entire world of Islam and said,” Therefore the occasion has turned into a landmark to present day when people in more than 80 countries mark the day.”
 
The Lebanese cleric noted,” An objective of International Quds Day is to call Muslims to boost their solidarity.”
 
He said,” Despite intrigues and efforts to sow discord among Muslims by arrogant powers and some Muslim states, Quds Day foiled the project for dividing Muslims.”
 
According to the top cleric, the oppressed Palestinian nation has found its path and that is the path of resistance by any possible means.
 
Qazi Hunainah added,” Holy al-Quds and Palestine are trusted with us and the Muslim rulers.”
 
Senior cleric referred to disagreements among the different groups and parties within the Israeli regime and vowed disruption of their military institutions.
 
Sheikh Qazi Hunaina made the comments in his speech on the second day of the international conference on al-Quds held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
