“Quds Day named to unite Muslims in support for al-Aqsa Mosque”, Lebanese cleric
A top official from Lebanon’s Islamic Action Front said the International Quds Day was recognized as a day to unite different Islamic denominations.

Sheikh Zuhair Juaid, coordinator of the major Lebanese front in his speech on the third day of international conference on al-Quds called al-Quds Day a day to convene the Islamic nation and a sacred day since both al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of Holy Sepulcher, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He condemned Israeli forces aggression against al-Aqsa and said,” This is the city of peace, faith and coexistence that is, regrettably, forgotten by many Muslim rulers and Islamic organizations.”
Sheikh Zuhair Juaid lauded the late leader of Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), for rising to help Palestinians and said,” The late leader firstly named the last Friday in the fasting month of Ramadan as International Quds Day.”
He added,” Same way that prayers and fasting unites different Islamic denominations during Ramadan, Quds Day also convenes pious Muslims in assisting al-Aqsa Mosque and the Holy Church of Sepulcher.”
Lebanese top cleric called Quds Day a day for humanity and the oppressed people which was founded to set a symbol for a great objective in line with the Islamic nation.
The coordinator of Lebanon’s Islamic Action Front expressed his views in a speech addressing the third day of al-Quds conference held by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
