PFB urges international community to attach a cost to Israeli war crimes against Palestinians
PFB condemned in a press statement “in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation forces’ attack on Gaza last night, and the targeting of innocent civilians in their homes.”

The Israeli occupation forces launched a series of airstrikes on the besieged Gaza strip last night, with over 40 fighter jets heavily bombarding the highly-populated besieged coastal enclave, resulting in killing 13 people, six of whom are women and four are children, and injuring 20 others, mostly women and children. As well as this, four residential buildings were totally destroyed in the attacks, while a number of houses were also partially damaged.
“For Palestinians, the latest attack on the Gaza Strip underscores a markedly worsening situation for Palestinian human security across the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Since the beginning of 2023, over 120 Palestinians have been killed, 40% of which have been women, children, or the elderly,” PIF added.
Condemning international support for and apathy towards Israeli crimes, PFB said: “This excessive violence and killing of Palestinians, which sees 2023 on the track to be the deadliest year for Palestinians since the Second Intifada, is unfortunately aided by either international support for Israel’s war crimes against the Palestinian people, or, in the best case, silence and apathy towards such crimes.”
It urged the international community to “break its silence against Israel’s war crimes and human rights abuses, and to take tangible action against the violence being perpetuated against Palestinians. With Israel continuously attacking Palestinians across Occupied Palestinian Territories, it is high time for the international community to attach a cost to these war crimes and adopt a full political and economic boycott against Israel to signal that such crimes have no place in our global rules-based system.”
Highlighting the use of policy of double standards and selectivity in dealing with the question of Palestine, PFB demanded that the UK Government “show similar response towards the Israeli massacres against Palestinians as it did toward the War in Ukraine. With the situation in Palestine requiring urgent action by the global community of states, it is high time to end the selective international standard when dealing with conflict zones around the world.”
It urged “the public communities in the UK and around the world to mobilise in protest against the Israeli massacre in Gaza last night. With the Nakba 75 protest taking place in London this Saturday, we urge all of you to show up in response to both the attacks against Gaza and the ongoing Nakba taking place across the Occupied Palestinian Territories.”
“We urge all the free voices of conscience around the world to show solidarity with the people of Palestine and condemn the ongoing Israeli terrorism against our people,” it concluded.
