“Survival of Muslim world dependent upon Islamic unity”, Iranian cleric

Senior Iranian Sunni cleric stressed that Muslims are fully aware that survival of the world of Islam is dependent upon Islamic solidarity.

Molavi Es’haq Madani, head of the supreme council at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in his speech at the commemoration ceremony held for Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri hailed the endeavors by the late scholar in line with promoting Islamic unity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He warned of the increasing efforts by enemies to sow division among Muslims after victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and lauded late Ayatollah Taskhiri to promote solidarity among Muslims.
 
“Ayatollah Taskhiri sent the message of unity across the globe” noted Molavi Es’haq Madani and highlighted the endeavors by the late cleric to negotiate with different parties and ethnical groups.
 
The Iranian cleric also hailed Ayatollah Taskhiri for his struggles to promote Islamic unity despite health issues and senility.
 
The fourth scientific meeting on harbingers of peace and Islamic unity was held on the biography, ideology and thoughts of Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri.
 
The Wednesday meeting was jointly held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Humanities Research Center and Organization of Islamic Promotion.
