Parliament, government should follow cooperation, convergence approach
The Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has called on the Iranian parliament and the government to follow an approach of cooperation and convergence.

The Leader made the remarks in a meeting with the speaker and members of the parliament held on Wednesday morning at the beginning of the last year of the legislative body in office, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Ayatollah Khamenei hailed the parliament as a “revolutionary, young and vibrant” body and called on the lawmakers to finalize great projects in line with the slogan of the year “Controlling Inflation and Increasing Production” and also the incomplete bills.
The Leader highlighted the stance of parliament and stressed the vitality of laws for “stabilization”, “predictability of future for individuals and society” and also “facilitating planning” for the officials and said,” Lawmaking assimilates to building railway tracks, to put it clear, it is road building when it clarifies the path for the other powers of the government.”
Ayatollah Khamenei warned of lawmaking for personal interests as a plague for lawmakers.
The Leader referred to diversity of viewpoints among parliament members and warned of bipolarization of the legislative body which is likely to affect the function of parliament.
Ayatollah Khamenei hailed some bills passed by the parliament as strategic move and said,” The law on strategic measure against sanctions was a key law that saved the country from confusion in nuclear program discussion and its outcomes are seen even in the international level.”
Leader of the Islamic Revolution congratulated the Iranian nation on the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr and called that a miraculous epic.
The Leader added,” More important than the great victory were the initiations, military operation plans, sacrifices and extraordinary bravery of the martyrs, none of which should be marginalized or forgotten.”
The meeting of the Leader with members of parliament was held on May 24 which marks the anniversary of the Liberation of Khorramshahr when the Iranian forces recaptured Iran’s southern city of Khorramshahr from Iraqi forces during Iran-Iraq war.
