Iranian Qur’anic convoy promotes Muslim unity by holding Qur’anic circles in Mecca
Iranian convoy of qaris has held recitation circles attracting pilgrims from different denominations in a show of unity, as defined among objectives of the annual pilgrimage.

Pilgrims, both Shia and Sunni, showed their passion for the Quran by joining the sessions.
The Iranian convoy of Qur’an reciters titled “Noor Caravan” (convoy of light) is comprised of a number of prominent qaris among them Mohammad Hossein Saeidian, Omid Hosseini-nejad, Mohsen Yar-Ahmadi and Ali Akbar Kazemi. They have been in Saudi Arabia since early June.
The group has been in Mecca since early June in a bid to organize Quranic sessions and convene pilgrims from across the world around the holy book.
The move counts for contribution of the Islamic Republic of Iran for promoting love of holy Qur’an among pilgrims arriving from across the globe.
Selected Quran reciters, memorizers and Tawasheeh groups from Iran are annually sent to Saudi Arabia during Hajj to perform Quranic programs on the sideline of the rituals held in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.
