Al Azhar condemns Israeli settlers over desecration of Qur’an in Nablus
Al-Azhar University has denounced the recent attack by a group of Israeli settlers and desecration of a mosque and holy Qur’an in southern Nablus.

Prestigious Egyptian university, in its statement, lashed out Israeli occupation and the crimes committed against Palestinians and stressed the inaction of the international community mounts to a crime against humanity.
Al-Azhar also stressed that the bloodshed and crimes by Israeli regime are all against the international laws and freedom f religions.
The Egyptian university called on the Arab and Islamic countries to take unified stance against a regime that commits the most brutal crimes against Palestinians.
It also urged for immediate actions to establish an independent state of Palestine with its capital in Jerusalem al-Quds.
Newly-released CCTV footage shows a group of Israeli settlers storming the Palestinian village of Urif south of Nablus entered a mosque and vandalized it, and also took a copy of the Holy Quran and ripped pages before throwing the holy book into the street.
