Ignoring modern developments to promote religion leads to adulteration

Ayatollah Khamenei made remarks in a meeting with the seminary scholars from across Iran held at Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniya in the capital Tehran on Wednesday morning, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Ayatollah Khamenei said to distinguish the addressees, the array of the global arena for preaching and also have a jihadi morale as three necessities for promotion of religion.

The Leader, in this meeting held on threshold of the mourning month of Muharram, stressed,” The youths and adolescents should be set at the heart of creative religious promotion based on modern tools, since they are the architects for the future of our country.”

Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated necessity of research-based strategies for promotion of religion in comparison with the present activities and alluding to a verse from the holy book of Islam said,” The religion, in the level of the masses, is not promoted unless with appropriate preaching.”

The Leader referred to importance of promotion in view of prominent seminary professors and added,” The importance of promoting religion, among other missions of seminaries, has multiplied after establishment of the Islamic Revolution because our religion-based political system has intensified hostilities from the enemies of Islam.”

Ayatollah Khamenei warned,” If we ignore the modern developments in promotion, we will be doomed to cultural Adulteration and, like western countries, will gradually destigmatize the big sins, a plague not to be simply compensated.”

The Leader, in the second part of his remarks, explained some practical guidelines on promotion.

Ayatollah Khamenei stressed necessity of identifying the target addressees for promotion of religion and noted,” To promote religion, regardless of the prior knowledge and demands of the people, is to no avail.”

The Leader warned the decreasing influence of the parental teachings on children as a true issue and expressed regret that the voice of traditional guidelines is silenced due to the chaotic presence of voices in the cyber space and the media.

As a second recommendation, Ayatollah Khamenei, reiterated importance of recognizing the backstage to activities in the cyberspace and said,” One should note if an activist is working independently or has a sponsor, in a majority of cases proved to have one.”

The Leader condemned the opposite front to the Islamic system, calling itself as liberal democrat, as a liar and added,” The front against Iranian nation, is opposite to liberalism, liberal thinking and against any form of democracy free from the arrogant powers” adding,” The confrontation of the Iranian nation with this system is a historical battle.”

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the devastating situation of the Ukrainian nation as an instance for arrogant and exploitative motivations of the west and said,” People in Ukraine must be killed only because the benefits of the arms industry in the west lies in continuation of war in Ukraine.”

The Leader referred to “Jihadi morale” as the third necessity for an effective promotion and said,” Without the Jihadi spirit, one is prone to various mistakes in promotion of religion.”

As the last principle, Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated necessity of creating a big seminary hub for qualitative and quantitative expansion of religious promotion.

The Leader of Islamic Revolution made the comments in a meeting with a group of seminary scholars from across Iran on the eve of the mourning month of Muharram.
