“Shared Islamic values, way to fight anti-Islam attacks”, cleric

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought stressed that to highlight the shared values of Islam is the way to confront anti-Islam attacks by western countries.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, made the comments at the briefing held ahead of the 3rd Regional Islamic Unity Conference in Urmia on Tuesday, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” The attacks against Islam naming the plight of Palestinians during the past seven decades and several instances of Qur’an burning reveal that the liberal values are developing in the western countries and we should highlight the shared Islamic values as the way to foil such attacks.”
 
The cleric called the world Muslims as brothers and Qur’an the guide to happiness for all people.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari noted,” Enemies have developed plots including terror and Takfir (excommunication) of different Islamic denominations though so far, all such plots have been foiled due to vigilance of the Iranian nation.”
 
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought made the comments at the briefing held ahead the one-day conference of elites and religious figures from Iraq, Turkey, Georgia, Russi and Syria.
 
The meeting on “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values” is the third in a series of regional Islamic unity conferences held in different Iranian cities.
