“Croatia Islamic center successfully foiled Islamophobic projects”
A senior Iranian cleric has hailed the Islamic center in Zagreb, Croatia, for its endeavors stressing that the efforts led to foiling Islamophobic projects.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, visiting the Islamic center of Zagreb, lauded the mufti of Zagreb, Aziz ef. Hasanovic for endeavors to boost cooperation between the Muslim and non-Muslims within the cultural programs by the center, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The senior Iranian cleric praised the friendly relations between the Croatian government and the Islamic center of Zagreb warning of Islamophobia as the biggest challenge against the Islamic communities.
The Croatian scholar explained the activities by the Islamic center of Zagreb including close cooperation with the national and international organizations and institutes, pedagogical activities including launching schools for children and adolescents and also holding Arabic language courses and a Halal center among many other activities.
Mufti Hasanovic said,” We have establishment a charity center to support the Muslims and also an interfaith center in a bid to discuss and highlight the common values with other religions.”
He hailed the visit by Iranian delegation of religious and cultural figures to the Islamic center of Zagreb.
Leading a delegation from Iran, the Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, is in the Croatian capital Zagreb to attend international conference entitled “Philosophy and Islam.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari has scheduled to meet with the religious and cultural figures and attend the book fair among other plans during his stay in Croatia.
