A senior Iranian cleric has denounced as “unpardonable” the crimes committed by Israeli regime against the Palestinians during over a month of Israeli atrocities against the besieged Gaza Strip.

HUjjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, the Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said the Israeli crimes in Gaza are unforgivable stressing the mission of Muslims not to stand silent regarding the bloodshed of Palestinians, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” To help the Palestinian people and expressing their oppression is a responsibility for every Muslim individual and the prayer leaders.”
The cleric expressed regret that the Israeli regime remains indifferent to the global protests against its atrocities and continues its crimes against the Palestinian people.
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought made the remarks in a meeting with the Croatian prayer leaders held at Rijeka Islamic center.
The Iranian scholar referred to the endeavors, mainly by the US, to project a dark image of Islam and said,” To create Daesh terrorist group, by the United States and intelligence organizations from six countries, has remained as one of such efforts.”
He noted,” They were determined to turn the fine image of Islam into a dark face and fan the Islamophobic acts” and added,” Such efforts to promote Islamophobia was a project by those concerned for expansion of the Islamic revolution across the globe.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari reiterated the importance of illustrating the Islamic values through media and hailed late Imam Khomeini (RA) for doing so after the Islamic Revolution.
The meeting with Croatian prayer leaders was part of the plans during the visit by Iranian delegation of religious and cultural figures led by the Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari also attended the international conference on “Philosophy in Islam” and the Friday prayer in Zagreb.
