"The liberation of Palestine, remains the central Arab issue, no matter how conditions and circumstances change"
Beirut - Taqrib News Agency (TNA) - Former Lebanese president, Dr. Salim Hoss said in a statement on behalf of  "Platform of national unity", that "the liberation of Palestine, all Palestine, remains the central cause of the Arabs no matter how circumstances change."

Dr. Hoss expected "To held the State of Palestine within the 1967 borders with the hope that to get recognition by the Arab consensus, on the basis that the State embodies the Palestinians ambition. Practically, Arabs and Palestinians want, what the Palestinians want for themselves.

"All this is natural and true, but that the issue remains: What are the dimensions of this possibility in the logic of the Palestinian right and the Palestinian cause? Years passed and the Arabs are all talking about the liberation of Palestine from sea to river. Does a Palestinian state on 1967 borders means an abandonment of the ambition of the liberation of Palestine from the sea to the river by calling for the establishment of the State of Palestine within the 1967 borders, and to give up areas of historical Palestine occupied by Israel today?," he asked.

Former President confirmed that "This is what the project actually means, if the establishment of the state will not be associated with clear and explicit insistence on, that the Arabs did not give up and will not give up the cause of Palestine, which is the Liberation of Palestine, all Palestine. This is what it should be".

He called not to "compromise on the cause of Palestine, stay ommitted to the liberation from sea to river, whatever that entailed, and present your sacrifices, no matter how long it takes. The liberation of Palestine, all Palestine, remains the central Arab issue, no matter how conditions and circumstances change. Do not let a step requirement replaces the central cause".
