Israeli crimes in Gaza defamed western culture, civilization
Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, said the savagery and merciless onslaughts by Israeli regime against Gazans have defamed the western civilization and culture.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with thousands of Basij voluneer forces from across the country hailing late Imam Khomeini as the founder and father of the group, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The Leader referred to the al-Aqsa Flood as a “historical instance” against the Israeli regime that undermined the political calculations of the US for the region.”
Ayatollah Khamenei said,” Israel’s merciless and savage moves against Gazans defamed both the Israeli regime and the United States as well as the popular European countries” and added,” The western civilization is the one that justifies as “self-defense” the killing of more than five thousand children with white phosphorous. Can that be called self-defense?”
The Leader noted that the catastrophes in Gaza is a compact package for 75 years of Israeli genocide in Palestine when they demolished Palestinian homes to build settlements and killed anyone, no matter child or woman, opposing their settlement construction.
Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the policies of the Islamic Republic regarding the issue of Palestine and said,” Some accuse Iran of anti-Semitic stances and lies that Iran is allegedly hostile to Jews and Zionists while we have never maintained such views.”
The Leader said,” We believe that the Palestinian nation will vote on its government that will make decisions for the people. This government could authorize all people from other countries to remain there.”
Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the plans for greater Middle East have failed saying,” They intended to annihilate Hezbollah while the Lebanese resistance movement became ten times mightier, also their plots for Iraq, Syria where they established their proxy forces, Daesh and al-Nusra, to harass the Syrian government, have all been in vain.
The Leader said,” The Greater Middle East, as planned by them, has totally failed since one part of this plan aimed to end the issue of Palestine in favor of the Israeli regime and totally annihilate the state of Palestine. They even dismissed their own proposal on the treacherous two-state solution, on which they had already reached agreements.
The meeting of the Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Khamenei with the members of the Basij forces was held at Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniya in the capital Tehran on Wednesday morning.
