The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has left for the Russian capital Moscow to attend the major Islamic event, XIX Muslim Forum.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari will deliver speech at the XIX Muslim Forum for to be held in Moscow Cathedral Mosque on December 12, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The gathering makes the most important Islamic event for Russian Muslims as the Muftis Council has called the Russian and foreign media for news coverage of the gathering.
 
A number of Russian officials, Algeria’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youcef Belmehdi, grand mufti of Egypt, Shawki Allam, Advisor of Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations, Mahmoud al-Habash and Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari are among participants to the event.

 
The previous edition of the meeting celebrated the 1,100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria state. Russia views the gathering an opportunity to strengthen its ties with participating Muslim countries that have been isolated by the West.
