In a statement on Monday, the ministry said Benjamin Netanyahu's plan and his latest remarks in this regard reveal the true goal of Israel's bloody onslaught on Gaza.
"The remarks and positions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and a number of Likud Party leaders at a recent meeting regarding their plan to facilitate the displacement of [Palestinian] citizens from the Gaza Strip constitute a clear confession that reveals the true goal of the genocidal war led by Netanyahu against our people in the Strip," the ministry said.
"Netanyahu’s support for the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip calls for a courageous international stance to immediately stop the aggression against the Gaza Strip and stop the crime of ethnic cleansing and displacement [of Gazans] before it is too late," it noted.
The regime launched its onslaught on Gaza on October 7 following an operation by the territory's resistance movements, dubbed Operation al-Aqsa Storm.
At least 20,674 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed in the regime's aggression, which purportedly sees forced displacement of Gazans from the coastal territory as one of its goals.
Earlier on Monday, Israeli media said Netanyahu was pushing for plans to implement "voluntary migration" of the Palestinians in Gaza to other countries. Addressing a closed-door parliamentary session for his ruling Likud Party, Netanyahu reportedly said, "Our problem is the countries that are willing to absorb [them], and we are working on it."
Referring to support of the United States and its Western allies for Israel's war of genocide in Gaza, the Palestinian ministry said Netanyahu's comments were "a slap in the face to all countries that have supported Israel in its war against our people and still do so under the pretext of self-defense."
The Gaza-based Hamas resistance movement also reacted to the Israeli premier's comments, calling his plan ridiculous and a pretext to prolong the onslaught on the blockaded territory.
"The statement made by the war criminal Netanyahu about the plan for 'voluntary migration' of our Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip is a ridiculous scheme and an attempt to sell illusions to prolong the aggression after he and his Nazi army failed to achieve their goals," Hamas said.
Palestinians, the movement added, "have affirmed their decisive stance by rejecting deportation, displacement and migration."
"They have affirmed that there is no option but to remain firm on our land.
We will not allow this foreign and intruding enemy ... to implement any plan that would obliterate our cause or displace our people from their land," the movement concluded.
