Al-Aqsa Flood came in response to years of siege, massacre of Palestinians
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said the operation al-Aqsa Flood was a definite and legal response to years of occupation and massacre by occupying Israeli regime.

Dr Hamid Shahriari, speaking at the World Muslim Scholars’ Constitution Summit in the Turkish city of Istanbul, noted that the al-Aqsa Storm was launched due to the inaction of the international community and civil organizations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said the October 7 operation by the Palestinian resistance aimed to take practical measures to end the catastrophic conditions in the Gaza Strip and added that the plans for the major operation was promoted solely by the Palestinian resistance fighters.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari also noted that al-Aqsa Flood revealed the failure of Israeli intelligence service and undermined the pompous grandeur of the regime.
The Iranian cleric expressed regret over seven months of brutal atrocities against the Palestinian nation in Gaza Strip that led to martyrdom and injury of thousands of people leaving two million others displaced in the besieged strip.
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought also called as “shameful” the weak stance of the United Nations Security Council in regards to the ongoing catastrophe in Gaza and said the international body has failed to implement its responsibilities to protect security and peace and confront war crimes committed against the Palestinian people.
He noted that supporters of the Israeli regime, mainly the US and some western countries have hired all their financial and military capabilities to support the regime and prevent its collapse believing that survival of the Israeli regime would guarantee their benefits in the region.
The cleric added that the US and western support for crimes of genocide in Gaza has revealed their hypocrisy and that the world will not remain silent against their crimes.
Dr Shahriari also hailed the Operation True Promise by Islamic Republic of Iran as a retaliatory attack against Israel’s terrorist attack targeting Iranian consular building in Syria after Iran’s complaint at the UN Security Council remained unanswered.
He stressed that the operation was a legal measure in compliance with the Vienna Convention and gave a lesson to the enemies to weigh the possible repercussions of any similar plans.
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought proposed establishment of a united ummah and ending Israeli occupation as solutions in face of the present critical situation across the globe.
He emphasized support for the Palestinian nation as the common priority of Muslims in pursuit of unity across the world of Islam saying,” The Palestinian resistance in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip is in need of practical support by the entire world of Islam.”
Hundreds of prominent religious and political figures from across the globe are attending the two-day meeting held in Istanbul on May 13-14.
