Leader calls on presidential nominees to avoid remarks appeasing to enemies

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has warned the presidential election candidates to avoid remarks that gladden enemies hailing the televised presidential debates held ahead of the upcoming elections to be held on June 28.

The Leader made the remarks in a meeting with the officials of Iran’s judiciary in Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniya on Saturday morning, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The comments by Ayatollah Khamenei came following three debates and several roundtables held by the presidential candidates broadcasted on state television.
 
The Leader referred to ‘justice’ as a key issue referred to in holy Qur’an and the Islamic references and highlighted bravery as a necessary prelude to prevalence of justice.
 
Ayatollah Khamenei recommended improvement of the law knowledge of the prosecutors and also the staff at the judiciary.
 
The Leader emphasized reference to Iran’s legal charters rather than western human rights calling on the judiciary chief for constant visits to the related offices and pursuit of the decisions made for the judiciary.
 
The Leader also hailed the martyrs of Iran’s judiciary Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Hosseini Beheshti and Ayatollah Ebrahim Raeisi expressing gratitude over the endeavors of the executives and staff of judiciary.
 
The meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution was held concurrent with the National Judiciary Week that commemorates those who played a key role in establishing the judicial system early after the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
