According to the reports the two candidates Masoud Pezeshkian and Saeed Jalili will head to the second round of debates to be held this week, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The first debate has been scheduled for Monday July1, 21:30 local time (18:00 GMT) and the second debate to be held on Tuesday July2, 21:30 local time (18:00 GMT).
 
The candidates will also be given time to deliver speech on state television on Wednesday, ahead of the Friday run-off election.
 
The 14th presidential election in Iran was held on Friday June 28 with four candidates, none of the candidates garnered the majority to claim an outright victory.
 
Former health minister, Masoud Pezeshkian and former lead nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili will compete in the run-off election to be held on Friday July 5.

According to Iran’s election headquarters, of 24.5 million votes cast, Masoud Pezeshkian got 10.4 million and Saeed Jalili received 9.4 million.

The other two hopefuls – parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and former interior affairs minister Mostafa Pourmohammadi – trailed behind at 3.3 million and over 206,000 respectively.
