Ismail Haniyeh, speaking in a phone call with Iran’s President-elect, Masoud Pezeshkian, hailed Iran’s support for the Palestine cause, reported Taghrib News Agency (TNA).

Haniyeh condemned the crimes by Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip, including two recent massacres in Khan Younis and al-Shati camp, under the pretext of targeting Hamas commanders.

He said that both crimes were committed despite the positive stance of the Hamas and other resistance movements in ceasefire talks adding that the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has added new conditions to the ceasefire talks signaling his intentions to continue the war.

He said that the resistance has shown enough flexibility in ceasefire talks with the Israeli regime. He added that Netanyahu’s response to the resistance proposals has been bombing of civilians.

Iran’s newly-elect president for his part said that the Islamic Republic would never leave Palestinian nation alone in this tough situation.

Pezeshkian emphasized that Tehran will spare no effort in ending the genocidal war on Gaza.

He concluded that the long-term measure for the Palestine issue would include an end to the occupation and maintaining the Palestinian nation to their rights.
