Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Khatami made the remarks in his Friday sermon in Tehran University, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He quoted the Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, stressing the retaliation of Ismail Haniyeh martyrdom as a mission for the Islamic Republic and stressed, once again, that Iran will retaliate the Israeli assassination of Hamas leader in Tehran.
The senior cleric noted,” The time and place of this retaliation is decided based on Iranian government consideration” and said the Israeli regime shall remain in a limbo of horror until the time of Iran’s retaliation.
Member of Iran’s Guardian Council Experts also condemned the United States an “accomplice” of the Israeli regime in both its genocidal Gaza war and assassination of Ismail Haniyeh.
“There is no doubt that more than ten months of Israeli crimes in Gaza have been carried out in collaboration with the United States” said the cleric and added,” If the US administration did not support the crimes by Israeli regime in Gaza, nearly 40,000 Palestinians would not have been martyred.”
Ayatollah Khatami described as a “blow” the appointment of Yahya Sinwar as the political leader of Hamas resistance movement referring to a pledge by the former prisoner in Israeli jails that Palestinians will one day detain the regime forces as prisoners.
