“Sheikh Hasan Tarad, symbol of anti-Israel resistance in Jabal Amel”

The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought highlighted the efforts by the recently deceased Lebanese cleric, Sheikh Hasan Tarad, to expand Islamic unity calling the late scholar as a symbol of resistance against Israel.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari made the remarks in a condolatory message issued for prominent Shia cleric saying that the passing of Sheikh Hasan Tarrad is a blow to the world of Islam and those active in Islamic proximity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
“The renowned scholar endeavored for expansion of proximity thoughts and played a key role in realization of Islamic unity objectives during the past decades,” said Dr Shahriari.
 
He added,” Sheikh Tarad was a major symbol of perseverance and resistance against Jabal Amel against the Israeli regime.”
 
Prominent Lebanese Shia cleric, Sheikh Hasan Tarad, passed away aged 93.
 
He was one of the great supporters of the Islamic resistance in Lebanon against the Zionist regime and supported the snit-Israeli operations by resistance fighters in southern Lebanon.
