“Israel moves towards its annihilation”, cleric

The interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran condemned the Israeli regime for killing more than 40,000 Palestinian civilians as painful scenes to every human being.

Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Khatami, in his sermon at this week’s Friday prayer, said that the Israeli regime is close to its annihilation, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” The murderers (Israeli forces) are having tough time as the general strikes and protests staged against the Israel is telling that the regime is toppling down.”
 
The senior cleric made the remarks in his Friday sermon where he also referred to the Black Friday on September 8, 1978 in Iran where at least 100 people were shot dead and another 205 injured by Pahlavi regime armed forces in a protest held in Tehran.
 
Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Khatami hailed the arrival of Rabi al-Awwal, the third month in the Islamic lunar calendar after two months of mourning ceremonies for Imam Hussein(AS) during Muharram and Safar.
