UN Secretary-General calls the death and destruction in Gaza the worst he’s seen
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that the destruction and death in the Gaza Strip is the worst he has seen during his current term in office, which he assumed in 2017.

He pointed out that Israel's acceptance of this offer is "a weak possibility", so he described the involvement of the United Nations in any role in the future of Gaza as "unrealistic".
The UN Secretary-General stressed the necessity and importance of an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
He affirmed, "I have never witnessed such a level of death and destruction as we have witnessed in Gaza in the past few months."
He stressed that the two-state solution is the "only way" to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and that there is "no other alternative" to it.
