African elite urges Muslims to unite beyond denomination diversities

An African scholar has called on the Muslims across the globe to unite despite the differences in the denominations they follow.

Speaking at the webinars of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference, Sheikh Ismail Dua from Zimbabwe, called on Muslims from different denominations in order to eliminate the chances for enemies to attack the Islamic countries, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He stressed that Muslims could unite based on several grounds shared by the Muslims from different denominations among them the same God Almighty to worship, the same praying direction and the same holy book to read.
 
Sheikh Ismail Dua urged the world Muslims to set unity top on the list of their objectives.
 
The Muslim elite, Sheikh Ismail Dua made the comments at the webinar attended by Shia and Sunni clerics and researchers from across the globe.
 
The webinars are scheduled to be held on September 16-18 ahead of the second section of the International Islamic Unity Conference which will be attended by hundreds of religious and political figures from across the globe in person.
 
The current edition of the Islamic Unity Conference is held under the title "Islamic cooperation to achieve common values with an emphasis on the Palestinian issue" in the capital Tehran.
