Muna Jusufspahic, in her speech at the ninth webinar of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference called on the Islamic countries to join their powers against the Israeli regime, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

She referred to the ongoing confrontation between the Palestinian resistance with the Israeli regime forces and called the war in Gaza a joint fight of all Muslims against the occupying regime.

The Serban thinker added,” We can imagine our achievement if we all united our economic, diplomatic and common resolve in a fight against the occupying Israeli regime” and proposed that the Muslim countries followed an approach towards joining their economic, diplomatic and cultural capabilities in face of enemies.

Muna Jusufspahic added,” We are heir to a great civilization that has survived centuries of invasion and for us Palestine is not merely a geography but it is the beating heart of the Islamic nation whose fate is our fate.”

She concluded,” The Qur’anic verses on Islamic unity should remain our guideline since it is only through solidarity that we can bring about justice, peace and honor to our brothers and sisters in Palestine.”

The Serbian activist made the remarks in an online meeting of the Muslim intellectuals held as the first part of the Islamic Unity Conference on "Islamic cooperation to achieve common values with an emphasis on the Palestinian issue".

More than 200 university professors, thinkers and activists attend the online section of the conference ahead of the second section which will be participated by hundreds of religious leaders and officials from across the world of Islam in the Iranian capital Tehran on September 19-21.

Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought organizes the annual meeting concurrent with the Islamic Unity Week which marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
