The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has congratulated Sheikh Naim Qassem on appointment as the new leader of Hezbollah resistance movement.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in a message to Sheikh Naim Qassem, said the appointment of new Hezbollah leader stands for the hope, solidarity and determination of the Lebanese resistance movement, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He hailed Sheikh Naim Qassem for years of endeavor to promote the Lebanese resistance movement and said,” Your leadership can boost Hezbollah in face of the challenges, become a steps in line with achieving the high objectives of Hezbollah and also defending the oppressed people of Palestine.”
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari also paid tribute to the late Hezbollah leaders Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine as well as the fighters of resistance movement.
 
The appointment of Sheikh Naim Qassem was announced on Tuesday. He succeeds Sayyed Hashem Safieddine after his martyrdom in an Israeli strike was confirmed.
