The grand Mufti of Iraq has stressed the objective of Palestine as the true axis for solidarity of Muslim countries.

The senior Sunni scholar made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference held in the Iranian capital Tehran, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He slammed the Muslim countries who back track from supporting other Islamic countries and hailed those support the other Muslims.
 
The senior scholar also hailed Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq and Iran over their support for the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza.
 
His remarks comes on the first day of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference with the theme “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values with Emphasis on Issue of Palestine”.
 
Organized by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, the 38th Islamic Unity Conference is underway on September 19-21.
