Intl. Union of Muslim Scholars calls for all-out mobilization to end Gaza war

The head of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) has called for a global mobilization to prevent more crimes against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Sheikh Ali Qaradaghi, in a message read at the 38th Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran, underlined necessity of mobilizing all possible means, including economic sanctions to end the ongoing war in Gaza, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Part of the statement by the international Islamic body condemned the developed countries, particularly the western governments, for not remaining committed to the international laws and said,” This is not a claim but based on what the world has witnessed in more than eleven months of genocide and killing of the women and children in Gaza.”
 
He underscored necessity of repairing the damages brought to the Islamic unity calling that a dire political, economic and cultural demand in the Muslim world.
 
He continued that the Islamic nation is not defined by region or race but by its beliefs; therefore, it embraces all complexions and nationalities meaning that he who remains committed to the humanitarian, ethical and global mission of Islam is recognized a member of Islamic nation.
 
The head of the International Union of Muslim Scholars also lauded Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought for efforts to organize the annual Islamic Unity Conference.
 
The 38th edition of the Islamic Unity Conference is underway in the Iranian capital with the theme “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values with Emphasis on Palestine Issue”.
