During a military parade ceremony, President Masoud Pezeshkian declared, “We firmly assert our ability to defend not only our country but also our neighboring nations through unity and cohesion."

Speaking on the occasion of Sacred Defense Week, which commemorates the anniversary of the Iran-Iraq War, Pezeshkian emphasized that no enemy dares to invade Iranian territory. “Today, the strength and deterrence of Iran prevent any aggressor from entering our soil,” he stated.
He emphasized to the world that, besides protecting Iran, unity among Islamic countries can uphold peace and security in the region. He stated, "Through this unity, we can stand against Israel, which shows no mercy towards men, women, or children. If we unite, Israel will not be able to perpetuate its crimes."
The parade highlighted the capabilities of the Army Air Force, the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), and naval pilots from the Islamic Republic of Iran Army. This event showcased new military achievements and defense capabilities of the Iranian Armed Forces.
The ceremony took place at the Mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in southern Tehran and marked the 44th anniversary of Sacred Defense Week, commemorating eight years of resistance against Iraqi aggression from 1980 to 1988.
High-ranking state and military officials, including Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and Major General Hossein Salami, the chief commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) attended the event.
Simultaneous parades were held in other provinces across the country.
