Lebanese Member of Parliament Salim Salhab told Voice of Lebanon that the Change and Reform Parliamentary bloc will not vote in favor of international tribunal funding.
"It's advisable to create a constitutional mechanism that sets constraints on this issue and then we will vote on the funding," the MP said.
He stressed that the bloc has no intention to adopt any stand that would lead to the resignation of Prime Minister Najib Mikati, adding that it is imperative to give an opinion on the mechanism funding within the cabinet even if it was contrary to the views of some people.
"Our position is not aimed at embarrassing the prime minister because we have agreed to deal with the issue of the funding before Mikati came to power. This issue will not disrupt the government," Salhab explained.
