“US, mastermind of all coups, wars”, Tehran Friday prayer leader

The interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran says the developments in Syria seem to be an incident but it was a calculated treachery by the United States.

Ayatollah Sayyed Kazem Seddiqi made the remarks in his Friday sermon on December 27, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” The developments in Syria are multi-faceted”, warning of a vague future awaiting Syria vis-à-vis the occupation of the country by diversity of groups.

The cleric noted,” What happened in Syria seemed to be a mere incident but in fact it was a calculated plot” and added,” The US is the mastermind in all coups, wars and lootings in the region.”

Ayatollah Seddiqi deplored “a neighboring country” for alliance with the US in training militant groups in Idlib with different arms and said,” Israeli regime executes the plots by American think-tanks in the region.”

The Friday prayer leader of Tehran stressed that the presence of Iranian military advisors in Syria was to support the Arab country and the holy shrines against the Daesh terrorist groups.

He said,” Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and the armed forces are not scared to carry out the Operation True Promise III since they are all followers of the school of Martyr General Soleimani.”
