In a recent report, the civil defense service described the disappearance and melting of a large number of martyrs’ bodies a result of the explosives used by the Israeli occupation army in its attacks on Gaza as “horrific massacres.”
The civil defense service also said that 10 percent of the Israeli attacks cause parts of the victims’ bodies to evaporate, adding that its rescue crews were unable to retrieve many bodies from bombed sites after they completely or partially vanished.
For its part, the health ministry in Gaza said that the Israeli occupation army had been using, since the first day of its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, lethal weapons that produce extreme heat when exploding and lead to the evaporation of bodies.
director of the ministry Dr. Munir al-Bursh said in a statement on Friday that a large portion of these lethal weapons are internationally prohibited and have very high destructive properties and heavy weights while being used to target tents sheltering displaced people and shelters.
In another context, Gaza’s civil defense service said that many of its freighting and rescue vehicles stopped operating in Gaza City, central Gaza, and Khan Yunis in the south due to the lack of maintenance parts and equipment necessary to repair them.
In a statement on Saturday, the civil defense service explained that the Israeli army destroyed most of the equipment and spare parts that were used for the maintenance of its vehicles during its attacks on Gaza.
The civil defense service called on international and regional humanitarian organizations to urgently provide it with its needs of maintenance equipment and spare parts before more vehicles break down.
The civil defense service also pointed out that over half of its vehicles across Gaza stopped working due to the lack of fuel needed to operate them.
