The Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei says the support by western countries for some puppet governments is only a “mirage” calling Ukraine an instance for that.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in his social media X, previously known as Twitter, citing the condition in Ukraine as a lesson for the empty support of the west for the puppet states, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The Leader wrote,” Countries dependent upon the United States and European countries must consider the present condition of Ukraine.”

The post was published in Persian and Ukrainian languages.


The message comes two days after a heated quarrel between the US President Donald Trump and his Vice President JD Vance with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenski in the Oval Office.

The meeting, originally set to finalize an agreement granting the US access to Ukraine's rare-earth minerals, quickly devolved into a verbal clash before Zelensky left without attending a joint press conference.

The fallout from the clash has raised serious concerns about the future of US support for Ukraine.

Three years ago, only a week after the conflict between Ukraine and Russia broke out, the Leader of Islamic Revolution posted on his account warning that the western support for Ukraine as mere illusion.

The message ended,” Those dependent on US and European support must consider the condition in Today Ukraine and yesterday Afghanistan.
