Gaza Health Ministry denounces Israeli strike cancer hospital in Gaza

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has condemned the Israeli forces over destruction of the only cancer hospital in Gaza calling that a ‘heinous crime’.
Gaza Health Ministry denounces Israeli strike cancer hospital in Gaza
In a statement issued Friday, the ministry slammed Israeli forces for deliberately targeting the hospital, which is located near the Netzarim corridor—an area recently reoccupied by the Israeli military.

The ministry added that during Israel’s previous offensives in the area, the hospital had been converted into a military base.

The ministry said that Israel’s “criminal behavior” reflects a systematic effort to dismantle Gaza’s already fragile healthcare system.

The hospital served thousands of cancer patients who now face a complete lack of access to treatment, both within Gaza and abroad, due to the ongoing Israeli blockade.

Friday’s bombing marks another blow to Gaza’s collapsing medical infrastructure, which has suffered extensive damage during Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza.

More than 162 healthcare facilities have been targeted since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza since October 2023, while over 360 medical personnel have been arrested, and at least three doctors have died in Israeli custody.

Among the major hospitals targeted by Israeli forces are Kamal Adwan Hospital, Al-Awda Hospital, and Al-Shifa Hospital, all of which have faced raids, sieges, or direct attacks that severely disrupted essential medical services.
