Chef of the Lebanese "Tawheed Unification" party FM Wi'am Wahhab, came out in favour of prospective Irano-Saudi rapprochement saying any such entente between the 2 powers serves Arab causes and the Nation as a whole.
Interviewed on al-Jadeed New TV, Wahhab lashed out at the new Libyan leadership and accused it of being Western agents who killed more compatriots more than Gadhafi did. He added that they simply handed Libya over to Sarkozy, Cameron et-al.
Wahhab wished to see Lebanon totally detached from Syrian domestic developments and professed an end to the Syrian unrest. He threatened Israel and U.S. bases around the region with total destruction if and when force is deployed against the regime. The politician also advised the Saudis to walk hand-in-hand with the Iranians to the benefit of all Arabs.
Noting that Wahhab praised the Iranian subsidizing of the Salman al-Farisi hospital in his hometown of Jahliyya.
In a related context, Lebanese Emir Talal Arslan told his Khaldeh visitors Sunday that the path and destiny of Syria and Lebanon were inseparable.
