Lebanese President convened Tuesday with Iranian Minister of Culture at Baabda Palace, whereby the latter revealed his country's intentions to fortify cultural relations with Lebanon.
Minister Sayyed Mohammad Housseini headed a delegation while on an official visit to Lebanon to sign numerous cooperation agreements. Iran planned to hold an Iranian cultural-artistic week in Lebanon, and hoped for a similar Lebanese week in the Persian state.
In this context, Lebanese Minister of Culture Gaby Layyoun, signed with his Iranian counterpart an artistic-cultural agreement of cooperation between the two countries. A number of dignitaries attended the event.
Layyoun hoped that such agreement would boost cultural ties between Lebanon and Iran. He also promised the Iranian delegation to visit Iran soon.
In his turn, Husseini briefed Layyoun over Iranian cultural and artistic activities that will be held on May.
