As for latest stances by the team of Arab monitors in Syria, Khalil said they were an outright translation to things taking place on the ground. "This is what Syria is looking for," he said, affirming that all what Syria wished for was the attainment of justice and parity. 

In a related context, Commander of the Lebanese Army, Gen. Jean Qahwaji, affirmed on Wednesday that more security steps have been taken on the Lebanese-Syrian borders to prevent arms smuggling and infiltration.

Qahwaji affirmed that that the army will combat the effects of the events taking place in the region and will continue to fight terrorism in all its forms and confront the "Israeli" plots and constant violations of Lebanese sovereignty.
