Fadlallah word came during his visit on Thursday the Lebanese Maronite Patriarch, Bechara Boutros Rahi, with a religious delegation headed by him.
Sayyed Fadlallah said this dialogue was a must, especially amid the region\'s current circumstances.
He confirmed that contacts between the two religions must be constant, not only at the level of religious figures and leaderships but also at the level of charitable institutions, schools and universities.
The scholar called also for applying the concepts of citizenship and conviviality so as to face the region\'s forthcoming stage.
The meeting was also an occasion to tackled developments at the local scene.
Later on, Rahi received a delegation of Muslim scholars\' assembly in Lebanon, headed by Judge Sheikh Ahmed Al-Zein, with talks touching on general situation.
The delegation confirmed to Rahi that the region\'s conflicts are neither sectarian nor confessional. "They are sheer political," they assured.
The moral chaos prevailing these days over media resources was also a topic of discussion between Rahi and the visiting delegation.
