Lebanese President Michel Sleiman Monday brought up the claimed IRGC Chief statements, Qassem Suleimani, about Lebanon during his meeting with the Iranian Ambassador Ghazanfar Roknabadi.

Sleiman urged the Ambassador to convey to the Iranian President Mr. Mahmud Ahmedi Nejad, Lebanon's keenness on Iranian-Lebanese ties based on mutual respect and non-interference in other countries internal affairs.
Western Media claimed a speech for Brigadier General Qassem Suleimani, chief of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), about saying that Iran was present and in control of South Lebanon.
In a related contexte, Lebanese National Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn received his ministerial office the Iranian Ambassador and discussed current developments at the local and regional scenes.
Discussions also focused on means to boost and develop bilateral relations.
