The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said regarding the measures taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the assassination of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah: "The Islamic Republic of Iran put legal, international and political measures on the agenda."
He added: "With the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in New York, he stated the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran and expressed his views by attending the meeting of the Security Council and declared this action as a threat to international peace and security."
The Iranian diplomat went on to say that: "A meeting of heads of members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was requested. In a letter to the United Nations, this action was announced as a violation of international law."
Iran's actions
Regarding the follow-up and actions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the assassination of Martyr Nasrallah and Martyr Nilforoshan, the IRGC general, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "Immediately after the Zionist regime's criminal action in targeting the suburbs of Beirut and using disgraceful methods to assassinate the leader of Lebanon's Hezbollah, Iran put its political and legal actions on the agenda immediately."
Zionist regime will not go unpunished
Sending an official letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Iran's ambassador to the United Nations, officially announced Iran's positions and it was stated that Iran will not hesitate to take any action in defense of its national interests. In this letter, while asking for immediate action, we announced the assassination of Hezbollah's leader and Iran's adviser as a threat to peace and security in the region and warned that the continuation of these actions could lead the region to unpredictable conditions.
Also, in the meeting with Mr. Guterres, Iran FM requested that despite the unacceptable actions of the United States, the Secretary-General should seriously follow the demands of the international community to take immediate measures. Iran will definitely continue its efforts. Iran will not leave any of the regime's aggressive actions unanswered, and the Zionist regime will not remain unreprimanded and be punished for its crimes.
Islamic countries' capacities, UN's failure
Regarding the plan to boycott the Zionist regime and countries not to cooperate with the Zionist regime, Kanaani said: "The demand for decisive action by Islamic countries against the regime is Iran's continuous demand. We are sure that Islamic countries have countless capacities to punish this aggressor regime, it is important to have this will."
"This is not just Iran's demand, but the Palestinian nation's demand that Islamic countries use their resources to pressure the regime. The United Nations, in the shadow of the US Administration's role, has not been able to deter the Zionist regime's war machine."
The official noted that as the previous and current experiences and aggression of this regime have shown, the aggression will not be limited to the geography of Palestine. Supporting Palestine is supporting the nations of the region. Rationality also requires that all Islamic countries use their capacities to put pressure on the Zionist regime.
In a situation where the US has used sanctions as a weapon against Islamic countries, Islamic countries have not used their capacities against the regime, Kanaani noted, saying, " The Islamic countries must take serious action for the security of the region."
Iran's crushing response
The Iranian diplomat reiterated that anyone who harms Iran's national security will definitely receive the answer without hesitation. "We do not chant but act. We have shown our actions and we stand firm against the aggressors and adventurers and we will act as a deterrent."
"No one should doubt Iran's authority to respond to the foolish actions of the Zionist regime. We do not chant but act. The world has seen this. The Zionist regime must know that these assassinations will not save the regime from the danger of collapse. These assassinations do not repair the internal divisions in the occupied territories. These assassinations will not repair the irreparable failure of Israel. Our tolerance is in line with the support of the Palestinian nation and the security of the region. But if Iran deems it necessary, it will definitely not hesitate to protect its security."
JCPOA talks
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the talks on the lifting of sanctions and the beginning of negotiations and the path of understanding that took place in New York, stated: "The nuclear agreement known as the JCPOA has a specific topic and goal and has nothing to do with any other topic. The space is open for continuing the talks in order all parties to return to the JCPOA."
In connection with the issue of IAEA Director-General Rafel Grossi's trip to Iran, there have naturally been discussions, and his trip to Tehran is not a new thing. He may travel to Tehran again. The talks were positive both during the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran's trip to Vienna and Iran's FM talks in New York were good, and if there is a will in the IAEA to follow up, it is possible to resolve the remaining issues.
