Beirut - Taqrib News Agency (TNA) - Member of Loyalty to the Resistance Lebanese Parliament bloc MP Nawaf al-Moussawi considered that "Some are trying to convey the political battle which is going on in Lebanon to the outside, and there are some are overcoming the red lines, in collusion with third parties aiming to divide the Lebanese National unity."
MPs Ali Khreiss and Nawaf Moussawi concurred Saturday over crucial role expatriates' money plays in local economy, particularly investment money, during a memorial event in Qana, south Lebanon.
Repeated assaults on Lebanese community in foreign countries, most notably within the African continent, raised red flags, particularly with the complete absence of any action from the Lebanese state.
"There should be an expatriates' ministry that looks after their affairs abroad," suggested Khreiss, who asserted the important role expatriates played in freeing their motherland from Israeli tyranny.
On that note, Khreiss called upon various Lebanese factions to come together over a dialogue table to agree on the country's future, opting for resistance in the face of Israel.
Domestic political feuds seemed to find their way into expatriates worldwide, a thing which worried MP Moussawi who hoped to spare Lebanese communities these severe political conflicts.
In agreement with Khreiss, Moussawi called upon Lebanese government to follow a preemptive policy for protecting Lebanese expatriates via planning and preparing before catastrophe struck.
Economically, Moussawi underscored the need to have legislations and decrees that aimed at protecting expatriates' investments in their motherland, contending that this type of money offered more leeway for Lebanese projects than Arab or international funds, which mostly depended on politics.
