Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has received the Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, in the capital Tehran stressing the capacities of the two countries and that a coalition of Tehran, Havana capabilities should stand against bullying powers like the US and its western allies.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has hailed the great political and economic capacities of Iran and Cuba stressing that a coalition of the two countries should work to counter the bullying of the United States and its western allies.

In a meeting with Raul Castro, the former president of Cuba, on Thursday evening, local time, during his visit to the country, Ayatollah Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi said "Today, the political relations between Iran and Cuba are at the highest level".

​​​​​​​Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz.

 During the 18th meeting of the Iran-Cuba Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation, Bahram Eynollahi said that the participation of officials from the two countries in the new event proves a strong will to shore up economic ties and jointly neutralize the sanctions imposed on the two nations.

Reza Fatemi-Amin met Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas late afternoon to discuss issues of mutual interests.
