Iranians attend communal Qur’an recitation held in holy Mosque of Jamkaran, Qom, as is the tradition during the fasting month of Ramadan. Reading one part, out of the 30 parts of the holy book, the people complete reading Qur’an once during Ramadan.

Thousands of people have gathered in Jamkaran Mosque, near Iran’s holy city of Qom, to mark the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (AS), the twelfth Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

People from all walks of life attended the ceremony to change the flag at Jamkaran Mosque in the holy city of Qom as guardians and servants prepare the holy site for birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (AS), 12th Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
